I regularly find myself drawn to details we don’t pay close attention to. It isn’t that we don’t ever see it, but too often we don’t take the time to appreciate these things, places, and moments. Augusta has beauty that is all too often overlooked, even in its familiar landmarks. I wanted approach the Butt Bridge in a way that most of us don’t normally see it, less as an object and more as part of a whole. Expecting nothing more than a more interesting angle, including the Augusta Canal, I was graced by wave after wave of swallows. The birds not only illustrated the random beauty of nature in our urban environment, but also brought a balancing movement into the frame.
