From the Artist
This piece is a visual tribute to Augusta’s layered identity—where grit and grace overlap. Centered on the Lamar Building and a watchful guardian bird, it blends architectural detail, folk symbolism and Southern blooms to reflect the city’s quiet resilience. Drawing on tattoo flash, WPA prints and personal iconography, the work celebrates Augusta as both place and presence—mythic, grounded and always watching.
