Maud Dean by Henry Wynn
2025 Augusta Poster Show · Henry Wynn
From the Artist
Inspired by the ghost story of Maude Dean Williams—an Augusta University legend whose presence is said to linger in the historic Benet House—this poster brings the tale to life with gothic detail and spectral grace. Henry Wynn’s intricate illustration, paired with Jason Craig’s ethereal coloring, captures Maude mid-apparition, rising above the date 1880 in full moonlight. Both a tribute and a warning, the piece honors one of Augusta’s oldest urban legends with beauty, mystery and a quiet chill.
