Donks! by Emily Bender

From the Artist
Donks! is a poster promoting travel to Stallings Island, an island that is home to nearly 5,000 year old pottery shards and the donkeys that protect these historic artifacts. Stallings Island is only accessible by kayaking up the current of the Savannah, near the river rapids and locks. Artist Emily Bender pulled inspiration from vintage travel posters and the more recent trendy, colorful, packaging on Fishwife tinned sardines to bring this piece to life.
