I recently revisited my childhood home on the side of the Hill, just off Heard Ave, a dead end street called Spring Hill Terrace. I was greeted with the sight I was hoping to see, a water tower framed by trees and vines. I would stare at the water tower and dream of Alphabet City (Downtown Augusta) visible behind it. We moved from that downtown when I was 10. Last year I had the chance to shoot some drone video flying around the water tower and could see my childhood home in the footage and I finally knew, the water tower could see me too all those years ago.
