The Hollywood movie premiere of The Three Faces of Eve was held at the Miller Theater on September 18, 1957. Based on the book by the same name, the story follows the life of Chris Costner Sizemore and was written by her then-psychiatrists Corbett H. Thigpen and Hervey M. Cleckley of the Medical College of Georgia who are also credited for co-authoring the screenplay adaptation. Sizemore, whose name was initially changed to Eve White to protect her identity, was portrayed by Joanne Woodward who won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture. Sizemore, who was diagnosed with multiple personality disorder, was said to have signed over her lifetime story rights to Thigpen and Cleckley who paid her $3.00 --one dollar for each of her three personalities.
